9 ਸਾਲ ਪਹਿਲਾਂ ਬਿਜਲੀ ਦੇ ਕੱਟਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਸੰਘਰਸ਼ ਕਰਨ ਵਾਲਾ ਪੰਜਾਬ ! ਉਸ ਵੇਲੇ ਅਸੀਂ ਪੰਜਾਬ ਨੂੰ ਬਿਜਲੀ ਸਰਪਲੱਸ ਸੂਬਾ ਬਣਾਉਣ ਦੀ ਕਲਪਨਾ ਕੀਤੀ ਅਤੇ ਪੰਜਾਬ ਦੇ ਰੌਸ਼ਨ ਭਵਿੱਖ ਲਈ ਇਹਨਾਂ ਥਰਮਲ ਪਲਾਂਟਾਂ ਲਈ ਨਿਵੇਸ਼ ਕੀਤਾ. ਤਲਵੰਡੀ ਸਾਬੋ ਦੇ ਥਰਮਲ ਪਲਾਂਟ ਨਾਲ ਇਹ ਸੁਪਨਾ ਸੱਚ ਹੋਇਆ ਅਤੇ ਇਸ ਵਡਮੁੱਲੀ ਇਕਾਈ ਨਾਲ ਪੰਜਾਬ 1980 ਮੈਗਾਵਾਟ ਹੋਰ ਬਿਜਲੀ ਜੁਟਾਉਣ ਵਿੱਚ ਕਾਮਯਾਬ ਹੋਇਆ. ਤਲਵੰਡੀ ਸਾਬੋ ਥਰਮਲ ਪਲਾਂਟ ਸਾਡੇ ਸੂਬੇ ਨੂੰ ਆਉਣ ਵਾਲੇ ਸਾਲਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਸਭ ਤੋਂ ਸਸਤੀ ਬਿਜਲੀ ਦੇਣ ਦੇ ਮੰਤਵ ਤੇ ਪੂਰੀ ਤਰਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਖਰਾ ਉੱਤਰਦਾ ਹੈ. ਪੰਜਾਬ ਰਾਜ ਦਾ ਸਭ ਤੋਂ ਵੱਡਾ ਇਹ ਥਰਮਲ ਪਲਾਂਟ ਜਿੱਥੇ ਵਾਤਾਵਰਨ ਪੱਖ ਵਿੱਚ ਪੂਰੀ ਤਰਾਂ ਠੀਕ ਹੈ ਉੱਥੇ ਹੀ ਹਵਾ ਵਿੱਚ ਜੁੜਨ ਵਾਲੇ ਧੁਏਂ ਅਤੇ ਅਸ਼ੁੱਧੀਆਂ ਦੀ ਨਿਮਨਤਮ ਮਾਤਰਾ ਨੂੰ ਯਕੀਨੀ ਬਣਾਉਂਦਾ ਹੈ.

With the setting up of thermal plant at Talwandi Sabo, the dream comes true and Punjab succeeds in adding 1980 MW through this state-of-the-art unit. Talwandi Sabo thermal plant is meant to provide cheapest power to the state for years to come. This largest and green power plant in the state scripts an environment-friendly power generation chapter as it ensures negligible emission of fly ash into the air.
